Emilie Ptak
Emilie Ptak maintains a broad litigation practice with a focus on insurance, construction, and property disputes. She has experience in a wide range of matters, including contract disputes, negligence claims, delay claims, cost overruns, change order disputes, construction deficiencies, builder liens, property damage disputes and other civil litigation matters.
Emilie has acted for property owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and other construction professionals in disputes involving residential and development projects. She has managed files through all stages of the litigation process, including examinations for discovery, mediation and trial, and has regularly appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
Emilie takes a practical and results-oriented approach to dispute resolution. She focuses on achieving timely and cost-effective resolutions wherever possible, while providing strong advocacy when litigation is required.
