Dawson Horning
Dawson graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2017, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2018. Prior to his education in law, Dawson obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Calgary, and worked in the construction industry as a plumbing and gas fitting apprentice.
Dawson’s practice is varied but he focuses on commercial general liability and municipal law, including bodily injury, commercial host, sports and recreation, occupiers’ liability, defamation, and construction. Dawson handles a wide variety of commercial host and liquor liability claims for restaurants, bars, and taverns, as well as a wide variety of sports and recreations claims for hockey and community associations, trampoline parks, adventure tourism, and ski operators. He regularly appears in all levels of Court in Alberta, and routinely presents on topics including waivers, sports facility liability, liquor liability and risk management for sports organizations and municipalities.
When not working, Dawson enjoys hockey, golf, camping and fishing.
