The partners are very pleased to announce that Lindsay Nilsson has joined the firm’s Kelowna office and Elka Dadmand, and Manjot Parhar have joined the firm’s Vancouver office.

Lindsay’s practice focusses on professional liability claims. Her clients include architects, engineers, real estate agents and various local government agencies and staff including police officers, firefighters, building inspectors and recreational staff. She also specializes in both complex construction disputes as well as personal injury matters.
Lindsay spent 10 years defending local governments as Legal Counsel and the Director of Claims and Legal Services for the Municipal Insurance Association of British Columbia and she speaks regularly at conferences throughout the province on liability and risk management issues facing local governments, registered professionals and real estate agents. Lindsay has extensive litigation experience at all levels of court in British Columbia.

Elka has a broad insurance defence practice. Her current focus is on liquor and hospitality liability, sports and recreation liability, medical malpractice, and professional liability for a wide range of professionals including lawyers, health care professionals, architects, engineers, mortgage brokers and insurance brokers.
Prior to joining Dolden Wallace Folick Vancouver, Elka practiced insurance defence in Ontario. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2014 after articling at a national firm. During her time in Ontario, Elka appeared before various levels of courts and tribunals, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, the License Appeal Tribunal, and the Ontario Small Claims Court.
Elka holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Western Ontario. In the course of her legal studies, Elka completed a clerkship at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and competed in the prestigious Wilson Moot.

Manjot’s previous experience encompasses a wide range of practice areas including personal injury and motor vehicle accident law, commercial litigation and employment law. She has appeared before the BC Provincial Court, BC Supreme Court, the Employment Standards Tribunal and the Human Rights Tribunal.
Manjot received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta. She was an active member of her law school community, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the student newspaper and Technical Director of the school variety show. Manjot was also employed as a research assistant for Landscapes of Injustice, a seven-year interdisciplinary research project, during law school. She received the Honourable Justice Cecilia Johnstone Equality Award in recognition of her law school and community involvement in 2015. Manjot continues to be involved in the community, and presently serves as a mentor to a high school student through the YWCA High School Mentorship Program.
