Megan Badenhorst
Megan’s practice has been predominantly insurance defence and commercial general litigation covering a wide variety of matters including personal injury, motor vehicle accident tort claims, property damage, occupier’s liability, product liability and subrogated claims.
Megan has provided coverage opinions to Canadian insurers, and, prior to joining Dolden in 2024, was involved in defending accident benefits disputes before the Licence Appeal Tribunal.
Megan has experience in small claims, superior court litigation, mediation and arbitration. She has conducted forensic investigations and investigated claims of commercial fraud. She has dealt with administrative law reviews in the gambling sector; disputes relating to shareholder agreements; cross border contractual claim; e-commerce & merchant services agreements; and fintech contractual disputes.
As part of Dolden’s cyber and privacy liability group, Megan has assisted as breach coach to various organizations and sectors involved in cyber incidents and breach of privacy claims. This includes advising clients on their legal obligations under Federal and Provincial privacy laws.
