Cecilia Hoover (She/Her)
Cecilia is a managing partner in Dolden’s Calgary office and is co-chair of the national construction practice group. Cecilia’s insurance defence practice is mainly focused on construction, coverage and professional liability. Cecilia defends contractors, developers and professionals in complex multi-party construction deficiency disputes.
Cecilia also regularly provides insurers coverage advice and defends coverage actions pertaining to CGL, COC/Builders Risk, Wrap-up, E&O policies, EIL and property policies.
Cecilia has conducted mediations, arbitrations and other complex settlement negotiations with favourable results for her clients and has appeared in trial and appellate Court. Cecilia is the first lawyer in Canada to have successfully argued a summary dismissal of a negligence claim on the basis that an “e-waiver” was enforceable.
Cecilia often provides presentations and learning seminar to insurers on various topics in order to provide a value-added service to the firm’s clients.
