The partners are very pleased to announce that Zoe Klassen has joined the firm’s Vancouver office; and Jakub Ksiazek has joined the firm’s Calgary office.

Prior to joining Dolden Wallace Folick in 2019, Zoe completed her articles at a boutique litigation firm and practiced general commercial litigation at a regional firm. Zoe has appeared before BC’s Supreme Court and Provincial Court.
Zoe received both her law degree and her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Literature from the University of British Columbia.
While at law school, Zoe competed in the Laskin Moot, a bilingual advocacy competition dealing with a constitutional/administrative law issue. Zoe was also involved with the UBC Law Review and served as the Editor-in-Chief (Editorial).

Jakub Ksiazek is a skilled litigator with considerable experience in prosecuting and defending a broad variety of claims, including contract, personal injury claims, professional negligence cases, investor fraud, construction claims, and other matters.
During his fourteen years of practice, Jakub has successfully represented hundreds of clients in matters of varying complexity, ranging from simple disputes to complex and lengthy multi-party proceedings. This comprehensive background allows Jakub to formulate and deliver sound, objective, and practical advice and strategy to all of his clients.
Jakub regularly appears before all levels of the Alberta Courts. He has chambers, trial, and appellate experience, having conducted numerous applications and a number of trials and appeals. He has also appeared before the Alberta Securities Commission.
In addition to traditional litigation, Jakub has successfully led or participated in several arbitrations. He has significant experience in alternate dispute resolution and in negotiating settlements, having skillfully represented clients in many Court assisted or private mediations.
Prior to joining Dolden Wallace Folick, Jakub ran his own litigation practice, and spent four years tutoring second year law students studying Civil Procedure at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law.
