Kaitlin Pierce (She/Her)
Kaitlin Pierce has been practicing law since 2019. She has handled insurance claims, on the Plaintiff and Defendant side, at all stages of the litigation process, including motions, discoveries, and trials. Before returning to Nova Scotia, Kaitlin worked in British Columbia at a boutique litigation firm. There, she gained experience across a range of civil litigation matters including bodily injury, estate litigation, commercial litigation, and residential tenancy matters.
Kaitlin has appeared before the BC Supreme Court, BC Provincial Court, Residential Tenancy Board, Trademarks Opposition Board, Civil Resolution Tribunal, NS Supreme Court, and NS Small Claims Court. She also facilitates settlements through alternative dispute resolution, including mediations and settlement conferences.
Beyond her legal practice, Kaitlin is a dedicated volunteer and mentor. She has consistently volunteered with Access Pro Bono and has provided mentorship to law students at various universities. Kaitlin is also passionate about inclusion and has authored an article for those in the legal profession on this topic.
