Caitlin Merritt

Caitlin is an experienced civil litigator with a broad range of experience in insurance related matters. She has defended clients in personal injury matters, including complex claims involving brain injuries and spinal injuries, property losses, construction disputes, errors and omissions, historical sexual abuse claims, class action defence and subrogation matters. She also has experience with employment matters, estate litigation and commercial litigation.

Prior to joining Dolden Wallace Folick, Caitlin worked as in-house counsel for one of Canada’s largest insurance companies, boutique litigation firms and one of Canada’s largest municipalities. She has appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta, and has acted as lead or sole counsel in multiple contested special chambers applications, questionings, mediations, judicial dispute resolution hearings and trials, as well as tribunal hearings.
