H. Kate O’Malley
Kate practiced for a prominent and well respected defence firm before joining Dolden Wallace Folick. Her experience includes acting for several national and international insurance companies, and counsel for an international fast food corporation. She has also represented First Nations Communities.
Kate has a broad range of experience in insurance defence and has handled municipal defence claims, complex auto bodily injury claims, fatality claims, CGL claims, coverage issues in auto and commercial general liability, construction, E&O, and historical sexual assault claims. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, and has trial experience on both sides.
Originally from Ireland, Kate graduated from Dublin City University in 2007 with a Bachelor in Law. She completed her examinations for Blackhall Place in Dublin in 2009. She completed her National Committee for Accreditation examinations in 2013 and was called to the Ontario Bar in January of 2015.
Kate is a member of the Canadian Defence Lawyers, The Advocates Society, The Toronto Lawyers Association, The Toronto Medico-Legal Association and she has volunteered with Lawyers Feed the Hungry in Toronto.
