Hannah Sutherns (She/Her)

Hannah returned to Dolden Wallace Folick as an associate in 2023, after completing her articles with the firm.

Hannah obtained her J.D. from University of Windsor, and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Social Development and Peace and Conflict Resolution from the University of Waterloo. During law school, Hannah was awarded the Shaheen Memorial Award for Legal Writing in 2019, and participated in the Windsor Law Peer Mentorship program; providing significant leadership development.

Hannah has experience in various areas of litigation. She has acted as defence counsel for owners and winter maintenance contractors in cases involving alleged breaches of the Occupier’s Liability Act, as well as defending restaurants and bars, in cases of over-service or assault. Hannah’s practice in these areas focuses primarily on personal injury lawsuits.

Hannah has experience in defending municipalities in a variety of personal injury matters, and defending veterinarians in cases of complaints to the College of Veterinarians. Her practice also includes defence litigation in claims of property damage or faulty workmanship.

When not at work, Hannah is actively involved in the Guelph community, including sitting as a board member for Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis.
