Announcement:

We are pleased to announce that over the last year, we were fortunate to add new lawyers across all offices. These lawyers bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge in litigation and the insurance industry.

Jason Arcuri, Dolden Wallace Folick Toronto

Since his call to the Ontario Bar in 2008, Jason has practiced exclusively in insurance law. He has worked with various insurance clients and has experience with a wide variety of claims, with a particular emphasis in defending commercial general liability, professional liability and coverage claims. He takes pride in being a trusted advisor, providing practical risk-based solutions for all clients.

Jason has appeared before all levels of Court in Ontario, as well as before various tribunals. He has also appeared as counsel at multiple jury and non-jury trials.

Prior to joining Dolden Wallace Folick LLP, Jason was a partner at prominent insurance litigation firms in Toronto. He earned his LLB from the University of Ottawa in 2007.

Janice joined Dolden Wallace Folick LLP as an associate in March 2020, after practicing with a boutique insurance litigation firm in Toronto.

Janice’s practice areas include occupier’s liability, hospitality and liquor liability, sports and recreation liability, professional liability, and litigation involving property damage.

Janice received her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University and her Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of Ottawa in 2018. While in law school, Janice was actively involved with the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program and worked as a caseworker with the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic.

In her spare time, Janice enjoys cooking, wine tasting and playing board games.

Elie Goldberg, Dolden Wallace Folick Toronto

Elie was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011 and practiced at a prominent insurance defence firm before joining Dolden Wallace Folick LLP. He has a broad range of experience defending insurers, self-insured entities, and multinational corporations in a variety of tort litigation.

Elie received his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, in 2010, and his BSc from Yeshiva University in New York City, where he was awarded the Dean’s Award in finance upon graduation.

When not at the (home) office, Elie enjoys playing and following all sports, going on outdoor excursions with his kids, and testing his amateur cooking skills on them.

Dawson Horning, Dolden Wallace Folick Calgary

Dawson began his career as a general practitioner in Sherwood Park, Alberta. He has a wide range of experience as a litigator and solicitor including in construction disputes, personal injury defence, and product liability.

Prior to joining the firm, Dawson obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta and worked in the construction industry as a plumber and gas fitter. Dawson uses his real-world experience to find cost-effective solutions for his clients.

When not working, Dawson enjoys hockey, golf, camping and fishing.

Sharu Ratnajothy, Dolden Wallace Folick Toronto

Sharu joined Dolden Wallace Folick LLP’s Toronto office in December of 2020. Prior to joining the firm, Sharu worked as in-house legal counsel at a major Canadian insurance company following her call to the Ontario Bar in 2019. In this role, she maintained and managed independent carriage of property damage matters and complex personal injury matters. Sharu has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Small Claims Court, the Licence Appeal Tribunal, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

Sharu obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Guelph and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Manitoba. Throughout law school, Sharu participated in numerous oral advocacy competitions including the Canadian National Negotiation Competition and the Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada.

Sharu’s practice areas include occupiers’ liability, liquor liability, sports and recreational liability, commercial general liability, and property damage.
